Toyota Corolla WRC by Tamiya

Due to a rule infraction in the 1995 Catalonian Rally, Toyota Team Europe's participation in the WRC (World Rally Championships) was suspended for two years. In the opening race of 1998, the Monte-Carlo Rally, the team made an incredible comeback, coming out of nowhere to take the championship-giving the Toyota Corolla its first ever victory in the WRC. Equipped with a sequential shift lever, called a "joystick" and an active rear differential, the Corolla has been stock full of the latest electronic gadgetry. A size smaller than the Celica, the Corolla WRC is perfectly suited for the winding country roads of the Rally.
